Founded in April 2007, Friends of Houston Judo, Incorporated is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization located in Spring, Texas.  Our focus is educating people in the greater Houston area about the international Olympic sport of Judo.  

      Our Federal Tax Identification number is 20-8804995.

The FHJI spreads the word about the sport of Judo by:  

1. using mass media (newspapers, magazines, TV, Internet and cell phones) to generate awareness of local judo events and judo competitors,
2. providing speakers, coaches and competitors for judo presentations and demonstrations,
3. publishing and distributing a free annual Tournament Program,
4. publishing and distributing a free annual Kids Judo Activity book,
5. not charging spectator fees for any Friends of Houston Judo, Inc. events,
6. co-hosting the annual regional Southeast Texas judo tournament: Houston Open Judo Tournament  
7. hosting or co-hosting judo clinics and workshops, and
8. volunteering to work technical tables at local, regional, and national judo events. 

 All levels and kinds of contributions are welcomed.  We rely on your support to help make these awareness programs and activities possible.

     (FRIENDS OF HOUSTON JUDO CUSTOMER LETTER)

Please present the Friends of Houston Judo Customer Letter to your cashier upon checkout at Kroger. The cashier will scan the barcode with your Kroger Plus Card. Once a card is scanned with the Organization's barcode, it will be active for the remainder of the program year of July 1, 2011-April 30, 2012.   Each time you shop at Kroger using your linked Kroger Plus Card, Kroger will contribute a portion of your eligible purchases to the Kroger Neighbor to Neighbor fund.

We will earn a portion of the $1 million equal to the percentage of total earned contributions attributable to the FHJI.
